General commission

• Artist — 40% of selling price, inclusive of everything from GST to payment gateway fee.
• Art gallery or business — approximately 20% commission on every sale through us, plus GST and payment gateway charges.

Commission generally also includes the payment gateway fee and our service GST fee.

Pricing set by sellers

Prices should be inclusive of everything: shipping cost within India, profit, commission, taxes, packaging cost and packaging insurance.

Fulfilment

• Sellers ship items from their own premises.
• Items are shipped directly from the seller to the client.
• The client invoice is issued directly by the seller, together with the certificate of authenticity in the case of art.
• The Connoisseur issues an invoice to the seller for the commission percentage deducted. This invoice can be used by the seller for input tax credit.

Settlement

Settlement amount = seller-set item price − marketplace fee.

Marketplace fee = (commission fee + payment gateway fee of 3%) + 18% GST.

Settlements are remitted by bank transfer to the seller's registered account. Domestic settlements are made by NEFT or RTGS; international settlements by SWIFT. Beneficiary details are confirmed in writing before the first remittance.

Authenticity and responsibility

Sellers are solely responsible for the authenticity, description, condition and lawful ownership of every work listed. Each artwork must be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued to the buyer on delivery.
